“I am a little part of all religions and a big part of no religion.” – Osho Being schooled in a Catholic institution all my life, and being the all glorious convent girl, my brain gets dopamine fueled every major Christian holiday. Like Christmas for example, although it is non-religious for me, it does bring back memories of the handmade… Continue reading Plum Cakes and Puddings

Reminiscence of Puducherry, of Le Dupleix and beyond…
It is such a sight as one enters as the arch welcoming you to into this little part of French colonized India named Puducherry. There is… Continue reading Reminiscence of Puducherry, of Le Dupleix and beyond…

As cool as you please…
From dressing Hollywood starlets like Paris Hilton, Mischa Barten, Kim Kardasian for the red carpet to being adorned by every single pop royalty including Madonna, Jenifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Fergie, Katy Perry, on and off stage, Falguni & Shane have come a long way since the days of their advertising jobs in Mumbai.
Meeting for the first time 14 years ago, for a hand painting collaboration, this dynamic duo formed an alliance in the stars to give us the best of international style and finest of craftsmanship. The first time I witnessed their show 4 years ago, I was astonished at how an Indian label can personify International High Fashion. I was awed at the superiority of design and uniqueness in styling and to me that was the exemplar of fashion. Being my personal favourites, Falguni & Shane are undoubtedly the best at what they do and it was truly one of my high points working with them.
Their collection is definitely not for the ordinary, you have to be a bit phenomenal to carry off their cool, contemporary and edgy style. And hence, I present to you the best of Falguni & Shane Resort 2016 along with the poem Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou.
– Phenomenally yours,
Navya
