Tropical Winter Holiday Look Book

Shopping for holidays is a terrible affair when you are going through racks and piles of warm clothes meant for the western winters, especially if you are planning to hit the beach this yearly break. Lets face it, we in the tropical countries do not really experience much of winters, apart from the occasional nippy air.

I for one, need to get a dose of the beach every month, no matter the season. And yes, I do like to keep it fresh with my style while doing so. It was a task, challenging but fun shopping for resort wear in the Autumn Winter collection.

Sourced completely from the autumn winter line of various brands, and keeping it absolutely contemporary, here are the resort wear trends which you might want to try this season:beautyplus_20170111040013_savebeautyplus_20170111040134_savebeautyplus_20170111040503_savebeautyplus_20170111040754_save

  1. Sneakers with everything: For Sneakers, Adidas Originals have the best collection which transcends beyond casual wear. From wearing it at the airport, pairing them with evening dresses or simply wearing it with the swimwear, these sneakers are multi functional and best for holidaying as it saves a lot of space in your luggage.
  2. Dressing gowns outside of your dressing room: Another multipurpose clothing item which has been hanging uselessly in your bathrooms are robes/dressing gowns. They not only make for a beautiful cover-up on the beach, but also work great as outwear while stepping out for a dressy night out. Marks & Spencer’s autograph collection has a huge range of them in satin and silk which make for a classy look.
  3. Sleepwear as cover-ups: Wonder what else you can do with your fancy sleep co-ord sets? They make for a perfect cover up on the beach. Just replace the slip with your bikini/ monokini and you are good to go. The shorts also make for a comfortable style statement  while getting warmed up on the beach.
  4. Wine Stained Lips on the beach: If you thought dark colors are meant just for the evening in the cold, think again. The wine stain lips are a huge makeup trend which allows you a pop in color in your otherwise sober outfit. In this case, I paired my all white bikini with it and it looked absolutely fly.

Fashion is when one looks beyond the dressing norms. It is what one makes of it. Being a fashion enthusiast and having expertise in dressing, I urge you all to make trends work for you in your own way and personalize your style. I hope you find the above trends interesting enough to try and make it work for you in different ways.

Fashionably yours,

Navya
